First of all lets get into the definition of beauty being skin deep straight away - according to me..: it means that beauty is not all abt looking good but how the person is, the nature, the thoughts, the way the person carries his/er personality, behaviour!!..but... How much do we really search for such beauty??.. Not initially… dare anybody says NO!!.
If beauty is really skin deep then why r thr so many ads which stress on fairness, wrinkle free, spotless etc etc cosmetic products...... WHY??. Why matrimonial ads always mention - "wanted good looking , fair, slim brides or handsome grooms"??? Why hospitality sector, aviaton industries look for only well chiseled features, perfect 10 bodies.... (no exaggeration at all.).... Would like to blame the beauty pageants the most in this regard which on one hand says beauty is skin deep but on the othr hand have never been able to endorse the same.
Isn't it the age old legacy of biased perception that has been passed on to generations after generations... Why such hypocrisy in the society which virtually says simplicity/natural beauty/a person's thoughts matters more than anything whereas in reality they themselves knock at the door of cosmetic surgeons!!.. I dnt mind calling it racism!!
Am waiting for the day when the word ugly, fat, complexion will be removed from the dictionary If they are out, thr wont be any discriminatory adverstisements, people will be accepted the way they are and world would be a better place to live in..... wat a dream!!! will my waiting be worth enough?? honestly NO..... truth hurts..... it surely does..... nevermind.. but I blv in one thing for sure…..Beauty Lies in the eyes of beholder.. but again...the volatile question arises.. abt.. 'how genuine the beholder is'???....think abt it!!
